PA inmates’ lawsuit on solitary confinement sparks state legislation review
FOX56, 03/06/24: “State representatives are looking at legislation seeking to reform solitary confinement in Pennsylvania prisons.
This all comes after the Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project helped 6 inmates file a class-action lawsuit against the PA Department of Corrections Monday.
The inmates’ lawyers say the suit is the first of its kind trying to end prolonged and indefinite solitary confinement, especially for people with a mental health diagnosis.”
