MEDIA ADVISORY | Criminal Legal Reform Advocates to Rally for a Justice-Oriented City Budget on Tuesday

As the Philadelphia City Council considers Mayor Parker’s budget proposal, a coalition of criminal legal reform organizations will rally outside City Hall on Tuesday to urge the mayor and city council to include meaningful investments in the programs and services that truly keep our communities safe in the budget.
Demonstrators will also urge the mayor and city council members to enact policies that increase transparency and accountability from Philadelphia police and in Philadelphia prisons.
WHAT: Public demonstration featuring speakers from the community, including family members of individuals who died in Philadelphia jails and who were killed by the Philadelphia Police Department.
