We are fresh off a very busy April where we spent every day of the month uplifting the importance of redemption, respect, dignity, and the inherent worth of every human being in honor of Second Chance Month. Culminating with the Coalition to Abolish Death by Incarceration (CADBI) rally in Harrisburg, an annual tradition with our movement family, we spent our favorite month of the year relentlessly working for the freedom of our loved ones inside and advocating for the resources our communities need to thrive. Speaking of freedom…we would be remiss if we didn’t mention the historic student protests and encampments nationwide and worldwide. Their bold and principled stance echoes our abolitionist values as they stand against colonialism, occupation, oppression, and genocide. We would also be remiss if we didn’t condemn in the highest terms the violent, militarized response weaponized to extinguish the voices of resistance. We have seen this before and stand in full solidarity. May we all find inspiration and continue the struggle for a Free Palestine and against oppression wherever we may find it. #FreeThemAll until we are all free.
