Please join us as the Pennsylvania Supreme Court hears oral arguments in the case of our client Derek Lee. His criminal appeal challenges mandatory death by incarceration sentences for 2nd-degree aka “felony murder”.

Pennsylvanians can be charged with felony murder for their involvement in a crime that resulted in a death, even if they did not cause or know of the death. PA law requires a sentence of life imprisonment without parole – death by incarceration – for those convicted of felony murder. More than 1,100 Pennsylvanians are serving this sentence.

We need to pack the court to show the judges how much the public and community support ending these sentences.
