Join ALC and Human Rights Coalition at an important meeting to discuss efforts to end solitary confinement in Pennsylvania at the local and state level. At this planning meeting for 2025, we’ll share exciting updates about a new primary sponsor for our state solitary bills for adults and for youth.
We’ll share the latest on three lawsuits we recently filed that should be advancing this year, including our legal work with the PA Institute Law Project filing several major cases against long-term solitary in the state prisons, as well as a class action suit against solitary abuses in the Dauphin County jail.
We’ll also discuss our campaigns pushing against solitary jail campaigns in Allegheny, Lackawanna, Lehigh, and Philadelphia counties, with some interesting updates we’ll share for all four!
