The Prison Oversight Board Advocates Coalition is a growing Philadelphia coalition of 20+ organizations led by the Abolitionist Law Center. Together, we’re working to hold the new Prison Oversight Board and Philadelphia Department of Prisons accountable, address human rights abuses, and advance decarceration in Philly’s jails.
The orientation is geared towards new people joining or interested in joining the coalition. It will cover:
- The basics of Philly Jails
- An overview of the Prison Oversight Board Advocates Coalition & the Prison Oversight Board
- A time for us to get to know each other
- How to get involved
