ICE Out of Philly! Philadelphia Minority Leader Kendra Brooks and Democratic Councilmember At-Large Rue Landau are introducing bills to protect immigrants from deportation, fear, and violence.
Come out to demand City Councilmembers sponsor and support this legislation to protect our community members! Meet us on the 4th floor and don’t forget your ID.
Signing up to give testimony:
It’s easy! Call 215-686-3407 no later than 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28. You must provide the following information:
- Full name (including proper pronunciation and spelling)
- Phone number
- Identify the bill number you are speaking on. You can tell them you are speaking on a privileged resolution put forward by Councilmember Brooks.
You can also sign up in person on the day of the meeting by speaking with Michelle from Council President’s Office, who usually sits just inside Council Chambers (room 400) with the list of speakers.
PRO TIP: Folks are called to speak in the order they sign up to testify. Sign up now to get on the list and secure your speaking spot early!
