The Academy of People, Politics, and Power presents an initiative for our people to learn, connect, and gather: Movement Mondays. Please join 1Hood and the Abolitionist Law Center for a 10-week civic engagement training to develop your skills and knowledge to build power for your folks. In these times, all we have is each other to keep us safe and build a better world.

Through Movement Mondays, we seek to provide real-world engagement and insights from decision-makers and local experts within the movement to allow people to build electoral power in their communities to address housing instability and affordability.

Mondays: Feb. 23 – May 4, 2026

This Monday, join us as we discuss building solidarity & maintaining coalitions, with:

  • Swain Uber of Community Justice Project

Light refreshments served.

$5 donation requested for each session, but no one turned away for lack of funds.
