April 10, 2026

Monday, April 27, 2026 | 3:00 – 4:30 PM
Online (Zoom)

We welcome defense attorneys, defendant advocates, and legal workers to join Abolitionist Law Center and friends for a discussion on the implications of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s ruling on March 26, 2026, that mandatory death by incarceration sentences for felony murder are unconstitutional.

We’ll provide an overview of the Commonwealth v Derek Lee ruling and discuss:

  • Potential litigation and legislation,
  • Impacts on current and pending litigation, including preservation and retroactivity
  • Next steps for advocates

We will also announce a listserv and upcoming CLE’s for advocates with impacted clients, and for those who are able to get involved in this fight.
