Apr. 23: Philly Wants Safe Healthy Homes In and ICE Out!
April 22, 2026
Thursday, April 23, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
City Hall, 4th Floor – Room 400
1400 John F Kennedy Blvd, Philadelphia, PA
Two strong pieces of legislation have been moving their way through City Council: the ICE Out legislative package and the Safe Healthy Homes Act. Both laws will be a resounding win for our communities.
This Thursday, we are set to win both legislations in one day! We need to send a clear, united message to council that we want a safe Philadelphia for immigrants and renters alike.
As ICE continues to cause terror among our immigrant neighbors, and as unsafe living conditions continue to plague our communities, we need to push for these legislative changes that could make our city safer for all. These legislative packages reflect the deep needs of our communities. The ICE Out legislative package protects immigrant neighbors and puts Philadelphia’s welcoming city values into law. The Safe Healthy Homes legislation enshrines renters’ right to repairs and dignified housing, and the right to safety and protection from retaliation or displacement when renters speak out. Let’s win this for our people!
