Philadelphia City Council members Nicolas O’Rourke and Isaiah Thomas will host an oversight hearing to look at the city’s problematic long-term contract with prison healthcare provider, Yescare. After a long history of shaky finances and substandard care, Yescare went bankrupt in the spring and left Philly jails without healthcare staff for a period, leaving issues with union dues and potential fraud in its wake.

The City must hold the Dept. of Prisons accountable for the wrongful jail deaths and impact on healthcare staff caused by healthcare contractor YesCare!
