Airi Tilley
Airi Tilley (pronounced “I-dee”; she/her, they/them) has been dedicated to activism and organizing for over seven years, focusing on antiracism and poverty alleviation in Allegheny and Westmoreland County. She attained a bachelor’s degree in community relations and nonprofit management as a first-generation college student at the University of Pittsburgh. Her personal experiences with poverty and food insecurity drove her commitment to poverty alleviation, leading her to work closely with local food pantries and nonprofits in Pittsburgh. Seeing the link between poverty and incarceration in her activist work, alongside what she witnessed within her family, inspired her to advocate for prison abolition. As the Court Watch volunteer coordinator, her primary goal is to support and empower you. Whether you are a seasoned volunteer or new to the Court Watch program, she is here to ensure you have the resources, training, and assistance you need to excel!
